We offer DBT skills groups for adolescents and adults. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals identify problematic thought patterns and emotions, both in individual and skills training sessions. We follow the full, evidence-based curriculum, helping you improve your mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
We provide counseling for children of all ages. Our child therapy services treat a wide range of disorders including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, and substance dependence.
Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program is a comprehensive, evidence-based treatment that emphasizes individual psychotherapy and group skills training classes to help individuals learn and use new skills and strategies to develop a life that they experience as worth living. DBT was originally developed by Marsha Linehan, PhD, ABPP to treat chronically suicidal individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. It is now considered the gold standard psychological treatment for this population. Research has shown that DBT is effective for treating a wide range of other disorders including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, and substance abuse.
Our individual counseling services are designed to help you overcome personal challenges and achieve your goals. We provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you are able to gain insights into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while learning healthy strategies for positive change. Individual sessions are 45-50 minutes. The frequency of sessions depends on each client's individual needs and goals.
Our family counseling services are designed to help families overcome challenges related to communication, conflict, and other issues. We will work with families to identify strengths and weaknesses, improve communication and problem-solving skills, and develop a stronger sense of cohesion and support between family members. Family therapy sessions are 45-50 minutes. We work collaboratively with family members to identify each individual's goals for family sessions to be able to create a treatment plan that meets each family's member's needs.
Our skills training counseling services are designed to help children, adolescents, and adults overcome a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and interpersonal struggles. We use evidence-based techniques to help individuals develop coping skills and improve their social skills. Depending on the individual's needs, skills training will be provided in individual or group format.

This treatment is for individuals who struggle with suicidal ideation, self-harm, impulsivity, difficulty managing emotions, disordered eating behaviors, and substance abuse. DBT-A treatment will teach your child coping skills to effectively regulate their emotions, increase mindfulness, and improve relationships. Comprehensive DBT-A services include weekly individual therapy and skills training as well as phone coaching. Parents and caregivers of teens participate in parenting skills groups, parent training sessions, and family therapy sessions. In addition, all our clinicians attend weekly DBT consultation meetings.
Our depression counseling services can help your child overcome feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and despair. Dr. Rojas will provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where your child will learn to identify and describe their thoughts and feelings, gain an understanding of their triggers, and learn coping skills to manage their depression. Dr. Rojas will work with your child in individual therapy sessions to develop insight into their depression and learn strategies to manage their emotions while working alongside parents to be able to support their child through their struggles.
Our anxiety counseling services are designed to help your child overcome fear, stress, and anxiety. Dr. Rojas provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment where your child can explore their thoughts and feelings, gain insights into their behavior, and develop coping strategies to manage their anxiety. Our anxiety counseling will involve individual sessions with the child where they will learn healthy coping strategies to reduce their anxiety, as well as family sessions to help parents better understand their child's anxiety and how to respond in a helpful manner to their child's worries.
Our trauma counseling services can help your child overcome the effects of traumatic events. Dr. Rojas implements evidence-based techniques to help your child heal from the psychological impact of trauma, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Rojas will provide a safe and supportive environment where your child can explore their experiences and develop strategies to overcome their trauma. Dr. Rojas will work collaboratively with your child to heal from their trauma and aid parents in feeling more equipped to support their child's healing journey.

Dr. Rojas has over 10 years of experience helping parents feel better equipped to support their children. Dr. Rojas will work collaboratively with you to aid you in better identifying and understanding your child's emotions, teach you parenting strategies to help your child regulate their emotions, and introduce coping skills to help you feel better able to effectively respond to your child's struggles without becoming emotionally overwhelmed.

Individuals participating in our comprehensive DBT program will attend weekly skills training sessions. Skills are taught in a classroom-like setting in 90-minute weekly sessions over the course of 6 to 12 months. Skills modules include: Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Teens and their parents participating in the DBT-A program will also complete the Walking the Middle Path module.
